DJ RESEARCH

DJ Research began his DJ career in 2006 by befriending other deejays at local parties, and when they became too intoxicated or lazy to mix, he would then jump in and rock the party. Fast-forward to today and you can find DJ Research mixing anywhere and everywhere there is a crowd.

DJ Research’s love for radio really evolved once he joined the radio broadcast program at Long Beach City College where his instructor Ken Borgers taught him the ins and outs of the radio business. Research quickly learned that there was more to being a DJ than just playing music. He later co-hosted what would become the most listened to college radio broadcast in his area, along with his co-host Armando Villaseñor, they created “Underground Nation Radio.” Fast-forward a bit more and Research was discovered by Los Angeles based management company The Fyrm, while deejaying a college fundraiser event. This new relationship quickly took his career from deejaying local events to mixing at LA’s premier nightclubs on the Hollywood, and Sunset strip.

Along with his new 93.5 KDAY family, DJResearch looks to become a household name by providing the soundtrack to your drive home from a late night Friday outing. You can find Research in the mix from 3-5am Saturday mornings.
