DJ WHITEY WHITE

When all the other kids were involved in afterschool sports, you could find DJ Whitey White in his bedroom recording live mix shows from popular radio DJs and buying crates of vinyl at the local record stores which cultivated his keen ability to comprehend and manipulate sound. After he acquired his first set of turntables where he could apply this natural gift and passion for music was the day he never looked back.
15 years later, DJ Whitey White has evolved his presence as a DJ by using the top industry-demanded equipment and spinning not just hip-hop, but a variety of genres; “whatever gets the crowd to put their hands up and dance is the music that I’ll play”, says Whitey White. His experience playing assorted genres in a variety of settings such as clubs, weddings, backyard parties, and high school dances, has given him the ability to read the crowd and determine what they want to hear. Whether it’s playing along side DJ Scotty Boy, a local Vegas House DJ or hip-hop pioneer Arabian Prince, AKA Professor X of NWA, Whitey White can flex his music muscle to play with the best of them.
“I’m always looking to expand my skill sets and broaden my horizon because that’s what being a DJ is all about”. In May of 2012 DJ Whitey White took an opportunity to DJ On-Air for 93.5 KDAY and fulfill a lifetime dream of DJing on the radio. Currently you can catch DJ Whitey White DJing throughout So Cal and listen to him on 93.5 FM Los Angeles “Back In The Mix Weekends” on Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm!
